Operation Beacon, our partner, is a proprietary software and consulting organization that helps veterans gain and maximize their VA benefits. It was founded and is led by Paul Schwartz, an Air Force veteran, who now has a permanent and total disability rating from the VA. The process was difficult and took Paul more than eight years to complete.
He wanted to make the VA disability claims process simpler, fairer, and faster for veterans. Like many others, Paul navigated the confusing and frustrating maze of process, paperwork, and denials, and he knew there had to be a better way. So, he built it.
At the heart of it, he's a veteran helping veterans. Operation Beacon is not just fixing a broken system — it's transforming lives.

Every VEF scholarship veteran receives their own unique strategy, based on their service and medical situation. The Operation Beacon team has deep knowledge of the approval process within the VA and customizes all forms and reporting based on the latest information, regulations, and assisted with their AI-powered software.
They will identify a custom strategy for you with the highest probability of approval and the highest percentage approval for your situation.
As part of the VEF scholarship, the veteran will learn how the VA benefits system works and the Operation Beacon team will meet each veteran where they are. No technical knowledge? No problem. Not great with computers? Not an issue. Operation Beacon will walk you through every step to teach and educate you. They will answer any and all questions about this entire process so that you have the confidence to do this moving forward.
Each claim is customized, not just a template, for the veteran. The potential benefits not only include income in the form backpay and new or increased monthly pension/payment, it also can include cost avoidance through healthcare savings and other benefits.
