Volunteer Opportunities for Veterans

As a start-up nonprofit dedicated to supporting veterans, we need assistance from our community - that's you! If you're interested in providing your professional expertise or simply lending a hand, please reach out to Angie Schwartz at aschwartz@thevef.org. Remember, your help can also make a difference if you choose to donate to veterans or contribute to veteran scholarships.

 There are many ways you can donate to veterans through a scholarship that will help them maximize their VA benefits. You can choose to support veterans by contributing to:

• One or more full scholarships at $2,500
• 2/3 partial scholarship of $1,667
• 1/3 partial scholarship of $833

Additionally, any one-time donation to support veteran scholarships is appreciated. 

We also welcome monthly giving in any amount to help us continue our mission to serve veterans.

The Veterans Empowerment Fund has sent in our application to the IRS to become a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, but we have not yet received approval. The IRS allows donors to claim a tax deduction for gifts made while an application is pending, as long as the IRS later approves it. If for any reason the IRS does not approve our application, your gift may not be tax-deductible.
